The biggest challenge of this project was to ensure that the residents had comfort and warmth in keeping with the house they moved to and lived important moments.
The plant that was previously compartmentalized in the area of coexistence and service, was reformulated in a way that was integrated and practical. So the room was more airy and cross-ventilated, as the window of the old service area opened to her.
The room and kitchen, now integrated, were harmonized and the service area went unnoticed by the room being surrounded by the panel door.
The countertop bench when not in use, does not take up space and goes through a cupboard and the old built-in cupboard gave way to the cellar and pantry that support the dining room.
The access door to the apartment was surrounded by the wooden panel that accompanies the furniture with mismatched slats, and to ensure a cozy atmosphere, the apartment was surrounded by paintings by the resident, next to his portrait painted by a friend and vintage furniture that we keep from the old house.
The illuminated moldings from end to end marked the circulation from the access to the apartment to the intimate area and ended up highlighting one of the paintings.
The bathrooms were wrapped in Carrara marble and they gained mirrored and wooden cabinets.
The overhead wooden with bedside table suspended in the middle of the white wall was enough to provide a soft environment that did not blur the bedding and colored carpet in the suite. And to make the environment more intimate, a childhood photograph of the resident with vintage oval frame.
